Freshly back from Namibia, a country full of contrasts, I can still feel the fascination that gripped me in these untamed expanses. Namibia is a country of extremes - from the endless dunes of Sossusvlei to the rugged coastline and the breathtaking remoteness of the Skeleton Coast. My journey took me to the most remote places, where I experienced a silence and tranquillity that is second to none.

I started in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. The Weinberg Boutique Hotel offered me a relaxed and stylish start to my trip. If you want, you can take a city tour through Windhoek or use the city as a starting point to get in the mood for the adventures ahead. After a short stay, we continued towards the desert - Sossusvlei.

At Wilderness Little Kulala Camp, I was able to fully enjoy the endless expanse and magical silence of the desert. The camp's location offers the advantage of private access to Sossusvlei National Park, allowing early visits to the famous dunes - a must before the heat of the day sets in. The sight of Big Daddy and Dead Vlei framed by the bright orange dunes was simply unforgettable. The opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride over the dunes gave me a new, mesmerizing view of the landscape passing below.

After these impressive desert experiences, my journey took me to Swakopmund, where I stayed at the Strand Hotel. The town itself is charming, with its colonial heritage and the cool Atlantic breeze - a pleasant contrast to the heat of the desert. The trip to Sandwich Harbour, where the white dunes meet the ocean, was particularly impressive - a unique scenic spectacle.

However, the undisputed highlight of my Namibia trip was my stay at Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp. This remote and spectacular region offers a tranquillity and solitude that is hard to beat. There are no crowds here, just the untouched beauty of nature. The excursion to the Skeleton Coast was an absolute highlight: we drove by jeep through the dry riverbeds, past old shipwrecks and deserted beaches, where only the seal colonies accompanied the sound of the sea. The return to camp by scenic flight over the rugged coastline and the vast desert landscape was simply breathtaking and offered me an unforgettable view of Namibia's untamed wilderness.

After this extraordinary experience, we continued on to Damaraland. Wilderness Damaraland Camp is one of the oldest wilderness camps and offers a classic safari experience. The rock paintings at Twyfelfontein and the hikes in the region were particularly fascinating, both culturally and scenically. It was impressive to see how the local community is actively involved in the conservation of this special area.

At the end of my trip, I spent two days at Okonjima Bush Camp. Here I was not only able to experience the beauty of Namibia's flora and fauna, but also learn more about the work of the AfriCat Foundation, which is dedicated to the protection of predators such as leopards and cheetahs. It was the perfect place to end the trip and enjoy the last few days surrounded by nature.

Safari in the Private Game Reserves of Mala Mala and Sabi Sabi My journey through South Africa begins with a short stopover in Johannesburg before landing at Skukuza Airport. As the plane taxis down the runway, I spot a cheerful wave from the air traffic controller in the distance. A beaming smile and one of the cutest thatched-roof airports greet us. In no time, our luggage is loaded, and we’re off in the safari jeep. Even the drive to the camp feels like a mini safari. National Parks Africa

Each national park takes you into a different dimension where time becomes meaningless. Herds of elephants move across the land like gray clouds, and the roar of lions at sunset can be heard for miles. These places are home to the majestic "Big Five", witnesses to the Great Migrations and sanctuaries for rare species found nowhere else on earth. Africa's national parks are not only landscapes that are home to life itself; they are also preservers of the cultures and stories that have been interwoven with this earth for centuries. They tell of the coexistence of man and nature, of traditions t...
