Namibia: The beauty of silence

Namibia is a country of extreme landscapes and the perfect place for those seeking the extraordinary. With its vast, silent deserts, abundant wildlife reserves and breathtaking adventure activities, the country is waiting to be discovered by you.

  • Landscapes and activities: The Namib Desert, one of the oldest deserts in the world, shimmers with its huge sand dunes in shades ranging from golden yellow to deep red. A little further north, Damaraland is one of Namibia's scenic highlights. Historical rock engravings and the rare desert elephants, which have adapted to the extreme conditions, can be found here. Safari lovers should not miss the Etosha National Park - a true spectacle when animals gather at the waterholes. Swakopmund, the adventure capital on the Atlantic, offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as sandboarding, quad biking and skydiving. Namibia is not only known for its nature, but also for its cultural diversity, especially for the Himba, an indigenous people known for their unique traditions and lifestyle.
  • For whom? Nature and animal lovers alike will find their happiness in the wilderness of Namibia. The unique landscapes not only offer amazing photo opportunities, but are also a paradise for those seeking peace and relaxation in nature. The country is so vast that you rarely encounter other people and can fully immerse yourself in yourself and the country. Do you enjoy the peace and quiet, but are also looking for adventure? Then Namibia is the right place for you. The dunes of the Namib and Swakopmund offer a variety of activities ranging from leisurely hikes to adrenaline-pumping experiences. Furthermore, just like South Africa, Namibia offers a great road network for self-drive trips. Even though there are only a few tarred roads, the existing sandy tracks ensure good connections between the individual regions.
  • Cost: Namibia is a country that is suitable for every type of traveler. Accommodation ranges from simple campsites and self-catering bungalows to luxurious lodges that leave nothing to be desired. You have the option of traveling with your own rental car, taking a private tour with a local guide at your side or flying from lodge to lodge in a small plane. The cost of your Namibia trip depends on the standard of accommodation and the way you travel and can vary greatly. But one thing is true: budget travelers can have just as memorable an experience as those looking for luxurious experiences. We offer self-drive tours through Namibia from a budget of 3,000 euros per person.

Botswana: Exclusive safari experiences

Botswana is a gem for those who want to feel the heart of the wilderness without sacrificing the comfort and exclusivity of a luxury trip. With stunning landscapes such as the Okavango Delta and an overwhelming density of wildlife, a safari in Botswana should be on every bucket list.

  • Landscapes and activities: The Okavango Delta, known from numerous nature documentaries, is a place of pure beauty that emerges in the middle of the Kalahari: a lush landscape and rich wildlife await you here. In traditional mokoros, the dugout canoes, you glide almost silently through the waterways and encounter elephants refreshing themselves on the banks. Chobe National Park is known for its huge herds of elephants and also offers spectacular boat safaris where you can spot hippos and numerous bird species. A complete contrast to the otherwise very green landscapes, you will experience the surreal beauty of an almost otherworldly landscape in the Makgadikgadi salt pans.
  • For whom? Luxury seekers will appreciate the secluded lodges and tented camps, which blend seamlessly into the untouched nature and offer the highest level of comfort. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the diversity of birdlife that populates the Delta, while ecotourists will appreciate Botswana's commitment to sustainable tourism and conservation. Whether you are a family or a honeymooner, Botswana is a prime destination for safari lovers!
  • Costs? The costs in Botswana are also very dependent on the type of safari, accommodation, travel duration and travel time. Nevertheless, the cost of a trip to Botswana is higher than in many other African countries, largely due to the exclusive safari experiences and premium accommodation. In addition, Botswana is known for its sustainable tourism, which is reflected in a "high-cost-low-impact" model. This is designed to ensure that visitor numbers remain manageable and nature is protected. This means that costs are generally higher than in many other safari destinations. For a mid-range safari, you can expect to pay around USD 400 to 600 per person per day. There are few upper limits and for a luxury safari in Botswana you should budget between 600 and 2000 USD per person per day.

Tanzania: Between Serengeti and Zanzibar

Tanzania is a destination not to be missed. It offers unique safari opportunities in places such as the Serengeti or the Ngorongoro Crater and special views of the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. Tanzania is also the perfect vacation destination to satisfy your longing for adventure and relaxation in equal measure.

  • Landscape and activities: Tanzania is a country of incredible scenic diversity, ranging from open savannah and dramatic crater landscapes to majestic mountains and idyllic beaches. In the endless expanse of the Serengeti, life pulsates to the rhythm of the great animal migration, which is considered one of the most spectacular natural spectacles in the world. For mountaineers, the majestic Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, is a challenge and a dream destination. In the remote west, the forests of Mahale beckon with chimpanzee sightings in the wild, while Ruaha National Park in the south is an insider tip among safari connoisseurs, where you can still enjoy the wilderness in peace. The whole thing is rounded off by the spice island of Zanzibar with its white sandy beaches and the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean - a perfect place to find peace and quiet after an exciting safari.
  • For whom? If you are looking for a classic safari where you have the opportunity to see the Big Five in their natural habitat, then Tanzania is the place for you. The north offers perfect opportunities for a safari with a private guide and your private safari vehicle. But travelers in search of seclusion will also find what they are looking for in Tanzania. Away from the classic safari routes, regions such as Ruaha or Katavi National Park offer unique wilderness that you can still enjoy almost on your own. The rich culture and history, which extends from the Swahili coastal towns to the Maasai villages in the interior, make Tanzania a fascinating destination for those interested in cultural history. For beach lovers, the offshore island of Zanzibar offers everything you could wish for from a beach vacation - fantastic beaches and excellent conditions for swimming and snorkelling.
  • Cost: Tanzania offers a wide range of travel options. From affordable budget safaris, where you spend the night in tents under the stars, to exclusive luxury lodges that leave nothing to be desired. Depending on what your requirements and wishes are, these can certainly be realized in Tanzania. Nevertheless, an individual safari in Tanzania will never be cheap, as the national park costs are already quite high at over USD 100 per day. In addition, we attach great importance to the choice of accommodation, which means that you will need to budget at least USD 500-700 per person per day even for the simpler accommodation. For all those who have a little less budget available, a group tour is a good option.

Kenya: Where culture and wilderness merge

Kenya is a country of distinction that captivates with its fusion of culture and wilderness, offering visitors a full spectrum of experiences, from world-famous safaris to profound cultural encounters.

  • Landscapes and activities: Kenya enchants with a breathtaking variety of landscapes - from the vast plains of the Masai Mara, where the Great Migration offers a spectacular natural spectacle, to the idyllic shores of Lake Naivasha. The arid north, such as the Samburu area, reveals rare wildlife species and insights into the lives of traditional nomadic tribes, while the majestic Mount Kenya attracts hikers. This natural splendor is complemented by the white sandy beaches of the coast, perfect for relaxing after a safari. Cultural encounters with the Maasai and Samburu deepen the understanding of Kenya's rich heritage, making the country the perfect choice for a combination safari and beach vacation.
  • For whom? Kenya is a versatile destination that offers experiences for virtually every type of traveler, from in-depth nature and cultural experiences to relaxing days on the beach. Clearly, safari enthusiasts will be happy in Kenya, as the country offers some of the world's best safaris, including the opportunity to experience the famous Great Migration in the Masai Mara. But it's not just wildlife spotting that is top of the list here, Kenya is also the place for culture lovers who want to learn more about the indigenous peoples of Africa. Rarely do you experience such authentic insights into the lives of a country's ethnic groups as you can in Kenya. If you are looking for a destination for your whole family, Kenya's diverse activities and child-friendly safaris are a great way to create memories together.
  • Cost: The cost of a safari in Kenya varies greatly and depends on factors such as standard of accommodation, duration and travel time. Mid-range safaris start at around USD 300 to 500 per person per day and offer basic but charming accommodation. Luxury seekers with gorgeous safari lodges start at a minimum of 700 USD per person per day and can quickly exceed 1,000 USD per day. The high costs are also due to the fact that the national park fees in Kenya are very high. If you want to visit the Masai Mara in particular, you can expect to pay park fees of around USD 200 per person per day. If you want to keep an eye on your budget, you should not travel in the high season, from July to October, but switch to the low season, for example in November.
