Travel Concierge
I am Michi and since the beginning of 2023 I am part of the Take Memories team. My focus is on after-sales: I prepare your final documents and ensure that you are perfectly prepared for your journey. Whether it’s entry requirements, health advisories, or useful packing tips – I research all the details so that you can start your adventure relaxed and carefree.
For me, Africa means a return to something primal – small lodges instead of large hotel complexes, and journeys that really give something back to the people and the nature on site.
On my bucket list
Tanzania
Tanzania – in all its diversity. I dream of a hike on Kilimanjaro, followed by a classic safari through Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti, and to finish off, a few days on the beach in Zanzibar or Pemba Island.
My desired round tripMy next trip
Tanzania
Currently, I haven’t booked anything yet, but Tanzania is very high on my list and will likely be my next big trip. I am already looking forward to experiencing everything that I have so far known only from documentaries, podcasts, and research.
Discover TanzaniaAbout Michi – How Africa conquered my heart
My fascination for Africa has many small beginnings. As a child, movies like The Lion King and Madagascar gave me a first glimpse of this continent. More formative, however, was an experience from my school days: classmates of mine spent several months at a charity project in Namibia and then showed us their photos. I was very impressed by how they had slept there in traditional huts, completely without electricity and running water. This simple, immediate life has not let me go since then.
Since then, I have been dealing a lot with the continent. In my work at Take Memories, this curiosity flows directly into it: I research exactly what travelers need to know for each country, and with every booking, I learn a little more about the regions. Each time, my curiosity grows anew and discovering Africa one day in all its diversity becomes more and more inevitable for me. The more I look forward to experiencing Africa with you and hearing you excitedly talk about it after your trip.
