Philip Eichkorn
Managing Director
Philip is the founder and owner of Take Memories, which also includes Safari Memories. For many years, he has shaped the company with his passion for individual travel and his deep curiosity about the world. Even at an early age, he knew that encounters, landscapes, and stories drew him in more than anything else. Today, he brings together under one roof what has shaped him over many years: profound knowledge, worldwide experience, and a fine sense of moments that linger long after.
Traveling is more than just visiting places; it is a profound experience that allows one to discover cultures, people, and oneself. My mission is to create unforgettable journeys that go far beyond the ordinary.
Experience & Background
Philip's greatest expertise lies in the Orient – a region that has accompanied him since his youth and where he has worked intensively for many years. He has built an extensive network there, developed creative travel ideas, and executed projects that remain close to his heart to this day. His experience spans numerous countries in the Middle East and has made him one of the leading experts in this field.
At the same time, he has many connections with Africa. Travels to Eastern and Southern Africa have shaped him both professionally and personally, particularly his encounter with mountain gorillas in Rwanda. These moments have shown him how powerful nature experiences can be and how much they can change one’s perspective on travel. This connection flows into his work at Safari Memories today – with the aim of creating experiences that touch people while also honoring the diversity of Africa.
Philip has been involved in developing journeys in over 20 countries. His combination of strategic vision, cultural understanding, and personal experience makes him an important source of inspiration for Safari Memories.
Personal Life
For Philip, travel is a collection of encounters and moments that remain: an early morning in the savannah, conversations in the desert light, the moment when a gorilla steps out of the thicket. These experiences accompany him in everyday life and inspire him in shaping the journeys that define Take Memories and Safari Memories – individualized, profound, and personal.
