Ongava Lodge

With fourteen bungalows made of stone, thatch and wood furnished in a cosy country house style, guests can look forward to unusual and comfortable accommodation. A panoramic view of the surrounding plains of the area offers the residents of Ongava Lodge a breathtaking view from all areas of the bungalow. Whether from the bed, while brushing your teeth or from the lounge areas - the African landscape will amaze you from everywhere in this lodge. Natural colours and materials as well as a homely interior ensure a complete sense of well-being. A spacious bathroom with a stone shower rounds off the comfort.

The dining area also impresses with a view of the lush waterhole: both inside the dining room and in the open air, the natural surroundings take centre stage and immerse the ambience in a dreamlike picture. The evening lures with a romantic campfire and stargazing. With a buffet in the morning and an à la carte dinner in the evening as well as lunch and afternoon tea, guests are well catered for.

Situated in the private Ongava Game Reserve in northern Namibia, the lodge is located on the southern border of the Etosha National Park. Guests reach the facility via its own airstrip, which is five kilometres away. The capital Windhoek is around 400 kilometres to the south. With around 30,000 hectares, the Ongava Game Reserve has a fantastic flora and fauna to offer, inviting guests to enjoy exciting wildlife spotting. From the hilly vantage point of the Ondundozonanandana Mountains, there is a wonderful view over the vastness of the landscape, including the waterhole, which is well frequented by the animal inhabitants.

The Ongava Lodge, equipped with all amenities, is an experience in itself. Whether birdwatching or spotting larger wild animals - all this can be enjoyed from the comfort of the lodge. A delicious drink on the private veranda or from the pool area is a wonderful combination of adventure and comfort. But guests can also get an insight into the wildlife on game drives in the surrounding area and to Etosha: giraffes, antelopes, leopards, lions and many other wild animals can be spotted. However, the black and white rhinos are among the most special sightings. Whether in an open off-road vehicle or on foot, immersion in the depths of African nature is guaranteed.
