Culinary

The menus at Babylonstoren always vary according to what is currently growing in the hotel's own garden. Thanks to the farm-to-fork philosophy, seasonal dishes are served. The motto "Pick, Clean and Serve" is very important - and you can see this in the loving preparation. The chef conjures up delicious dishes on guests' plates that perfectly reflect the traditional cuisine of southern Africa and are based on the harvest calendar.

Activities

Gourmets pay a visit to the Charmonix Wine Farm and savour fine wines from the vast wine regions of South Africa - an unforgettable experience for gourmets. The wine museum displays various artefacts relating to wine and the smells of rosemary and lavender waft out of the Scented Room. However, the heart of the Working Wine Farm is the garden: stroll through the garden, linger in one of the many hidden corners and let the smells and colours take effect on you. Go on a garden tour with the gardeners or learn more about the healing properties of various herbs in the Healing Garden. You can cycle past the vines to the lavender fields in the direction of Kopje. As you walk up the last few metres, a magical view opens up over the entire farm and beyond. Babylonstoren welcomes you with a fitness room with a view of the garden and various pool areas.
