15 freestanding tented suites, including four family suites, are part of Marataba Safari Lodge. Each accommodation is surrounded by breathtaking nature, allowing guests to enjoy views of the landscape from their own outdoor deck and spot giraffes or elephants. Marataba Safari Lodge is located in Marakele National Park. This national park in the north of South Africa is characterised by the Waterberg Mountains, which are home to an incredibly rich variety of flora and fauna. The area forms the transition between the dry west and the more humid regions of the east of the country.
Activities
Safaris are offered every day at Marataba Safari Lodge. The local animals, which include elephants, rhinos, lions and many more, are most active in the mornings and afternoons and are therefore the best time to see them. The safaris can be undertaken on foot, by vehicle or by boat. The lodge also has a pool and you can pamper yourself with spa treatments in your own suite.
