Marataba Safari Lodge

15 freestanding tented suites, including four family suites, are part of Marataba Safari Lodge. Each accommodation is surrounded by breathtaking nature, allowing guests to enjoy views of the landscape from their own outdoor deck and spot giraffes or elephants. The suites are made of stone elements and canvas, whose natural colours blend seamlessly into the surroundings. Inside, you will find elegant modern furnishings that still exude the original charm of African safaris.

In addition to its exceptional location and marvellous views, Marataba Safari Lodge impresses with its excellent cuisine. Using local produce and influenced by the individual creativity of the chefs, excellent dishes are prepared here, the flavours of which are rounded off with a suitable wine. The sounds and smells of the wilderness create an unforgettable atmosphere during meals.

Marataba Safari Lodge is located in Marakele National Park. This national park in the north of South Africa is characterised by the Waterberg Mountains, which are home to an incredibly rich variety of flora and fauna. The area forms the transition between the dry west and the more humid regions of the east of the country.

Safaris are offered every day at Marataba Safari Lodge. The local animals, which include elephants, rhinos, lions and many more, are most active in the mornings and afternoons and are therefore the best time to see them. The safaris can be undertaken on foot, by vehicle or by boat. The lodge also has a pool and you can pamper yourself with spa treatments in your own suite. An overnight stay in the Thabametsi Treehouse is a special experience. Surrounded by nothing but the wild beauty of nature, you can spend an unforgettable night here under the clear starry sky.
