Namiri Plains

The eastern Serengeti is known for its high density of predators. In this remote region, far away from the tourist crowds, guests at Namiri Plains Camp enjoy a very individual safari experience without having to sacrifice comfort and privacy. The camp of the Asilia Africa hotel group was recently renovated and is characterized by its elegant, contemporary design, which blends harmoniously into its surroundings thanks to the natural color tones. The unspoiled area is home to many wild animals, which are attracted to the seasonal riverbed that overlooks the camp and can therefore be observed directly from your own terrace.

Location

Namiri Plains Camp is located in the eastern part of the Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania. It is located directly on the Ngare Nanyuki River in a very pristine and non-touristy region. The riverbed attracts various animals that drink and graze there. Due to the extensive grassland, the area is the habitat of many big cats, especially cheetahs.

Activities

The region around the camp is suitable for various excursions to observe the animals living here at close range. The experienced guides will show you lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, hyenas, leopards and other animals. Between November and June, herds of wildebeest pass through the region as part of the great animal migration, which means that they can be spotted directly from the Namiri Plains during this time. After an exciting day on safari, you can relax in the camp's pool or spa area.
