Itinerary
Your arrival in Tanzania
On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met and taken by private transfer to Arusha. There you will check into the Legendary Lodge. Here you can look forward to your upcoming round trip in unique surroundings and accommodation that offers the highest level of comfort.
From Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After a delicious breakfast, you will be picked up and driven to Arusha Airport, from where you will fly to Lake Manyara Airstrip in around 30 minutes. A Chem Chem Lodge safari vehicle will be waiting to drive you the short distance back to the private Bungi Wildlife Management Area, which lies between the expansive Tarangire National Park and tranquil Lake Manyara. Elephants, leopards, zebras, lions and many other animals can be seen in this incredibly species-rich environment.
Safari in Tarangire National Park
Today you will explore the unique landscape, flora and fauna. The landscape is characterized by baobab trees, hills, grasslands and woodlands. On a bush walk, you will get to know the magnificent flora and fauna in a very special and intimate way. At eye level with elephants, buffalo, zebras and many other wild animals, you will feel closer to nature and its inhabitants than ever before. Relax in your camp in the afternoon and enjoy the passing giraffes directly from your veranda before setting off on a game drive in the late afternoon, where you can also enjoy the nocturnal animals after dark.
Ngorongoro Crater
After a hearty breakfast, you will continue to the Ngorongoro Crater today. You drive past Manyara Airstrip again and are driven to your next accommodation in around two and a half hours. You drive past coffee plantations and enchanting landscapes until you arrive at the edge of the crater, where a picturesque panorama of the crater opens up to you and this is exactly where your accommodation for the next two nights is located - the Entamanu Ngorongoro. In the afternoon, you will have time to go on a bush walk along the crater rim together with experienced guides and local Maasai. This gives you the chance to learn about the Maasai culture and at the same time be in the middle of the wilderness.
The next morning, you will set off very early for one of Tanzania's most famous natural phenomena, the Ngorongoro. This is a collapse crater of a former volcano that has been transformed into a species-rich, fertile plain. Acacia forests, savannah, scrubland and heathland characterize the landscape of the huge caldera. A visit to a Maasai village in the afternoon is a great way to get to know not only the nature and wildlife, but also the traditional life of the people and the local culture.
Onward journey to the Serengeti
In Tanzania, one highlight follows the next. From the Ngorongoro Crater, you will fly by small plane to the Serengeti, one of the most famous savannahs in Africa. You fly to the west of the national park, to the private Singita Grumeti Reserve. Look forward to pure luxury in a remote and tranquil area of the Serengeti.
Safari in the Serengeti
Over the next few days, you will experience Africa's nature up close. On a safari through the open plains of the Serengeti, you can see the animal diversity with your own eyes. Many wild animals such as lions, elephants, zebras and leopards can be spotted here on game drives or foot safaris. Decide for yourself whether you want to go on full-day game drives to remote areas and enjoy a delicious picnic in the savannah at lunchtime or whether you want to split your activities between morning and evening. Decide each day anew what you want to do to experience the impressive Serengeti.
Dream beaches on Zanzibar Island
After an impressive time in Tanzania, during which you were able to get to know the untouched nature and magnificent wildlife of Africa, today you set off on the last stage of your round trip. You will fly from the Serengeti to Zanzibar Island. The island is located off the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean. It impresses with its paradise-like landscape, consisting of tropical forests, white beaches and turquoise blue sea. In this beautiful setting, you can unwind and reflect on the experiences of your previous Tanzania trip.
