Leeu House

With just 12 rooms and suites, Leeu House offers you a small but fine selection of accommodation. All rooms are designed with attention to detail in a country house style. The light colours and natural materials, such as linen curtains, sisal rugs and handmade lamps, make the rooms inviting and blend in perfectly with the surrounding landscape. After an eventful day, they are the ideal place to relax. You can also relax in the spacious bathrooms, which are all finished in marble. Through the large doors and windows, you can either access your own private terrace or enjoy the view of the mountains.

You can indulge in culinary delights at The Conservatory directly in Leeu House. You can have breakfast here, but also have a choice of other dishes for the rest of the day. Local and South African specialities in organic quality are on offer, as well as exquisite South African wines from the Leeu Collection. You can also choose to enjoy all meals on the terrace. In addition to the hotel's own restaurant, you can also take advantage of the culinary offerings at the sister hotels Leeu Estates and Le Quartier Francais. The Leeu Estate has La Petite Colombe and Le Quartier has the Epice Restaurant, both of which originate from the creative workshop of the famous La Colombe.

Franschhoek is only about an hour's drive from Cape Town Airport. This means you can get to know South Africa quickly and easily away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The location of Leeu House, in the centre of Franschhoek, is also excellent and an ideal starting point for the numerous surrounding sights. You can reach the most famous corners of the town, such as the Huguenot Museum, the Town Hall or the Huguenot Monument, in just a few minutes on foot.

There is a lot to explore in Franschhoek and the surrounding area. However, it is a small town with a historical background and the possible activities are also geared towards this.
